Despite the cold, wind, and snow, nearly 500 people stepped up in high heels (and other fun footwear!) on September 12 along Jasper Avenue and 104 Street to help families walk away from domestic violence. We surpassed our original goal of $220,000 for a final total that will have a tremendous impact on YWCA Edmonton and our domestic violence prevention and recovery programs.
Because of you, a child in our city doesn't need to go to bed tonight in fear. Because of you, more families can take the first steps towards healing. Because of you, young people are learning about domestic violence, and the cycle of abuse can be broken. Thank you.
